This cartoon from Blaugh just struck a chord with me. The software companies are moving forward at a great pace as technology allows us to do more and more, faster and more efficiently. However, there are millions of end users who are on their own schedule - comfortable with what they are used to and what fits their needs. Yes, I know people who still run DOS programs, have 14″ monitors, and even those who still use Word Perfect (oh, the horrors). Just because it is the latest and greatest, it doesn’t mean it will be a good fit for everyone right away.
What are your thoughts? Will you upgrade right away? Me, probably not. I’ll let them work out the bugs first.
