Cool Find: Free Handwriting Fonts with Something Extra

I stumbled across a really neat site – FontGarden.com – which features free and for purchase fonts. The site also has plenty of free, fun handwriting fonts but the best feature is that each font is presented using a funny, thoughtful , or just random quotation.
While the site itself is a little ad-heavy, its easy enough to overlook them while checking out the fonts and quotes.

I’ve been a fan of this site for years! I even had her do my handwriting into a font like 7 years ago- she did a great job. She retains the rights to sell it, which I didn’t really think about at the time. Wonder how much money she’s made from it? It’s always in her best sellers list.

I am always looking for handwriting fonts (as well as lots of others!) so I will have to go check it out. I have somewhat of a font addiction – I could easily spend hours at sites like urbanfonts. Thankfully the paid fonts keep me from getting too many! (I’ve yet to justify it on spending money on fonts since I’m not a full time designer!)

What a fun site and a great way to add a little individuality to your design! It is great she has free fonts too for those of us that are not designers.

I love handwritten fonts – an occasional handwritten note really spices up a blog post. WebDesignerWall has used handwriting to great effect many times.
