We Are TIME’s Person Of The Year

We the bloggers. We the users of MySpace, YouTube, and Flickr. We the webmasters and podcasters. We are the TIME Person of the Year. When I first read about it this morning, it occurred to me - this was the year that social media hit the mainstream.

A year ago, I had heard of blogging and even helped a friend get hers started, but I would have never imagined that a year later I would have been blogging daily and really enjoying it, too. Not to mention, I have learned SO much this year about Web 2.0 technologies, internet marketing, social networking, ecommerce development and such. Blogging has become a professional development tool that I can’t imagine being without now.

So hats off to all who contributed to the web this past year. It is an honor to have been a part of something so exciting. On to 2007 - one can only imagine what the next year will hold!
